Welcome to Mid Century Mosaics
At Mid Century Mosaics we take a unique approach. Every piece is completely original and designed to your specifications.
Our original mosaics are perfect for your kitchen backsplash, feature walls (and floors), sun rooms and gardens. Each tesserae is hand cut and placed from a combination of vitreous glass, stained glass and fused glass using the same methods that have been employed since antiquity. You will enjoy a beautiful custom designed mosaic to enhance your environment.
If you live in the Bay Area of San Francisco we offer free on-site installation. Outside of the Bay Area we can create your mosaic on a panel or fiberglass mesh to ship directly to you for your tile contractor to install.
Mid Century Mosaics also offers smaller, pre-made mosaic items in our Etsy shop. Please see the sidebar feed at left for pictures, descriptions and purchase information. Please keep in mind when looking at smaller projects in our portfolio that motifs, such as koi fish, dragonfly and flowers, could be repeated on a much larger surface to make a stunning statement on a wall or floor.

Seahorse Mosaic Tile Garden Stepping Stone made with dark blue, hand cut stained glass and blue glass tile.This stepping stone is approxmately 12" x 12" square and about 1/2" thick.
I recommend a low traffic area of a garden as the stepping stones I create for my Etsy shop are mainly decorative. I can also create stepping stones on concrete slabs as a special order. Please send me a convo for dimensions and increased cost of shipping. Stepping stones can stay outside in mild climates in the winter but I do not recommend leaving them outside in freezing rain and snow.
